수많은 사람이 출퇴근하는 사당역의 한 구석, 더이상 예술인들이 모이지 않는 남현 예술인 마을이 있다. 이 마을이 살아나기 위해 필요한건 관광지로서의 홍보가 아닌 마을의 주체, 예술인이 다시 모일 아지트라고 생각했다. 사당역은 통행량이 어마어마한 곳이지만, 남서울미술관에 관심을 갖고 들렀다 가는 사람을 발견하기는 어렵다. 예술을 조용하고 고상한 문화가 아닌 매일 보는 익숙한 장면으로 만들어 분야의 벽을 없애고자 한다. 매일 예술에 노출됨으로써 새로운 예술가가 탄생하는, 그리고 그들이 이곳에 다시 모여서 도시의 활력을 불어넣는 아지트가 되길 기대한다.
미술관의 진입 동선을 주변 대지와 연결하여 내부의 동선과 외부의 동선의 구분을 모호하게 만들었다. 지나가는 길에 입면 장식물 사이로 관람객을 보게되고, 자연스럽게 미술관에 들어오게 되고, 교육을 들어보며 점점흥미가 생기는 자신을 발견하길 바란다.
In the corner of Sadang Station, where many people commute, there is a village of Namhyeon artists where artists no longer gather. I thought that what was needed for this village to survive was not publicity as a tourist destination, but a hideout where the main body of the village and artists would gather again. Sadang Station is a place with a lot of traffic, but it is difficult to find anyone who is interested in and stops by the Nam Seoul Museum of Art. It aims to eliminate the walls of the field by making art a familiar scene that you see every day, not a quiet and noble culture. It is hoped that new artists will be born by being exposed to art every day, and that they will gather here again to revitalize the city.
By connecting the entry line of the art museum with the surrounding land, the distinction between the internal and external lines was blurred. I hope that you will see visitors through the ornaments on the way you pass, enter the art museum naturally, and find yourself increasingly interested by listening to education.
